Support East Students

East High students are doing incredible things in classrooms, on stages, in clubs, and on the field. Donations to the Boosters fund the essentials that help clubs, teams, and enrichment programs grow, from equipment and supplies to travel support and event costs. As a volunteer‑run 501(c)(3), 100% of your donation goes straight to student programs, not overhead. Every penny of every dollar donated directly supports East students. Your generosity strengthens the experiences that help students participate, belong, and thrive.

Where Your Donation Goes

Boosters funding supports the everyday needs that help East students participate fully in clubs, athletics, and enrichment. Donations are used for practical, high‑impact items that school budgets can’t always cover. Examples of projects the Boosters have funded during the 2025-2026 school year include:

Gymnastics – Essentials for a Team Without a Home Base

East/La Follette Gymnastics practices in borrowed spaces across the city, often early in the morning or late at night. Boosters funding provides gym bags, uniform shorts, and healthy snacks – small but meaningful supports that help athletes stay fueled, organized, and confident despite not having a dedicated practice facility. These items strengthen team identity and morale for a program that often feels overlooked.

ProStart Culinary Team – Professional Tools, Ingredients, and Chef Attire

The ProStart Team prepares a three‑course menu in one hour using only two propane burners for a statewide culinary competition. Boosters funding removes financial barriers by providing chef coats and attire, a stove‑top oven and specialty tools, presentation dishes, and high‑quality ingredients for repeated practice rounds. This support ensures all interested students can participate in this career‑building experience.

Cypher – Modern Music Equipment for a 50‑Student Performance Collective

Cypher is a 50‑member student music collective that performs contemporary music at school events and across the community. Their equipment was more than a decade old and no longer met the needs of the growing group. Boosters funding provided professional microphones, cables, power cords, instrument cables, and mic stands, allowing more students to participate fully and safely in rehearsals, performances, and their annual spring “Cypher Tour.”
